Directional Composition – A
The spear-shaped reservoir (white) pointing in the direction of the upstream catchments helps to create a feeling of increased horizontal space to the right.

Directional Composition - B
The downstream directional lines (red) meeting outside the picture frame, combined with the rising angel of the road, increases the “horizontal feeling” of space even more – this time to the left.

Composition A
Reversed S-composition (red) to emphasise depth by means of changing texture in applying the paint. Colour depth follows the same route – from the intrusiveness of red, orange and yellow, through the restful greens to the cool blues in the distant.

Composition B
A super imposed introverted spiral (white) keeps the eyes within the picture area, leading to the focal point where it can rest – a small little island from where one can discover the heart beat of the environment.
